Hello, and welcome to the 12 Books in 12 months blog.
Here you can follow the exploits of Edinburgh based writer and idiot Ali George as she endeavours to write the first draft of a different book every month in 2011.
Write silly stories, work in communications, draw occasional comics.

Hi Ali – I admire and applaud the start of your very ambitious project! Not for the weak hearted or the timid. Do I sense an air of procrastination? The start is always the hardest point I find, when I’m prone to hesitate on the odd occasion (and that’s not ‘me’, I could do with learning how to procrastinate a little). So wishing you ‘good luck’ and interested to read about how your journey unfolds.

Procrastination? Does watching the BBC adaptation of I, Claudius in its entirety even though Caligula isn’t even in half of it sound like procrastination?!
Oh. I see your point. I am writing too, though perhaps not as much as I should… But now is not the time to panic about word count! Now is the time to crowbar references to Brian Blessed’s portrayal of Augustus in wherever I can! I promise an excerpt or two over the weekend, Linn, and thank you for your support!
