Last week I was asked to go along to the Edinburgh City of Literature monthly salon to say a few words about blogging. I was expecting people to be interested in the mechanics of how to blog, and had even started writing a post with some tips – but the question that came up most was whether people should be doing it at all.
Last week I was discussing possible favours for my sister’s forthcoming wedding. This conversation took place, as 98% of 21st Century wedding related conversations surely do*, via Pinterest – and whilst we were there, Pinterest took the opportunity to point me in the direction of stuff it thought I might like.
Last week there was a piece in the Guardian by Richard Lea called The Bad Side of Goodreads’ Reading Challenge. I clicked because I’ve actually signed up to said challenge. For the most part, I disagreed with the piece – and I’ll tell you for why.
